Day 2

The Proclamation paragraph 2

"All human beings--male and female--are created in the image of God. Each is a beloved spirit son or daughter of heavenly parents, and, as such, each has a divine nature and destiny."

My boys are so totally different. They both have their strengths and weaknesses. Even at age 5 and 6 I have been able to pin point a few of them. Our divine nature is made up of our strengths and weaknesses, which will help us fulfill our destiny here on earth and in the eternities. So often in life our challenges and/or weaknesses turn out to be blessings and eventually strengths.

Just this morning I asked Carter to stop bouncing his toy around the kitchen. He looked directed at me and continued. Three times I asked him to stop and he continued. Then I took the toy away and he was angry at me and ran away from me and wouldn't talk to me. I finally got him to come and sit by me on the couch and we talked about how many times mom needs to ask before he listens. We agreed one time should be enough. He was still angry and tried to get away, but I wrapped him up and whispered in his ear about how special he is. Then he said "I'M NOT AS SPECIAL AS JESUS!" I then told him that he was, he is as special as Jesus. We are all special. God made each of us different and special. We are all part of the plan. Part of His plan. Some of us play bigger roles in His plan, but that doesn't mean that each part isn't equally as important.

"I'm not as special as Jesus!" Oh man, that is too funny. Way to turn that into a teaching moment, I would have been laughing my head off!

I'm so glad that I'm not the only one who has moments like these... Haylie does the same thing on a daily basis. Like more than one time a day. I have to say that you handled it way better than me. Good job Jess!

Wow, I guess patience really does pay off, huh? So sweet they are. And in regards to Hailey's Halloween picture. OMGsh! She looks SO grown up. I had to enlarge it just to make sure it was her. What happen to the little kids that were just getting into the Desitin together? Wasn't that yesterday?
