Opportunity...Missed.
During the holiday season I spend lots of time at boutiques, not buying, but as a vendor with my vinyl. Last night we did a holiday bazaar and there were lots of vendors. About halfway through the evening I took a little break and went and looked around at all the different things. As I was making my way through I saw an acquaintance who was selling some items. She stopped me and gave me a hug and started to tell me about her items. I could tell she was desperate to sell her items, I know she has children and probably was trying to make a little Christmas money. I really wasn't interested in what she was selling, it just wasn't my taste. I made my way back to my tables and I just felt so bad. In my mind there was nothing I could do. Then I had a thought, I could buy one of those items. Then the thought left as fast as it came. This morning I know I missed an opportunity. No, I didn't need or want that, but I felt something and I ignored it. I could have brought a little holiday cheer and hope, but I didn't. It makes me wonder how often I've missed an opportunity to serve in some small way. I'll be more aware and remember these thoughts next time I recognize a small opportunity.

You are so cute. I'm sure you are more in tune than most people and don't often let those opportunities go by. Hope you guys are having a great Holiday season! I love your music at the bottom...so many fun songs i haven't heard before! ;)
I'm glad that you actually were listening. Sometimes the Lord tests us to see if we even listen.
BTW...can you send me an email about your vinyl lettering? My brother wants a 3 plaques done with 3 verses on them (1 verse per plaque)...but if its too pricey, he'll take it down to 1 verse...for 1 plaque. He asked me to do this like 2 months ago, but its been a rough couple months for us. I'd love to have it to him by Christmas. Let me know if you might be able to help.
Thanks...Nicki Young :)

isn't it crazy how often little impressions come and go so quickly. I am glad you recognized what it was because next time you will be more prepared...I hate it to when I have missed the opportunity. I also know that you are serving many this Christmas season and you'll find a way to make many happy because that is who you are.
You have such a good heart! It is true that most wouldn't even have recognized that prompting! I'm sure you follow prompting all that time that help others and you don't even realize it.
Experiences like these are sweet even if they aren't quite what they could have been bc they still help us grow... I have many of should of's and it has helped me not hold back quite as much when I think I should. Don't kick yourself you definitely do more good and are more Christlike then the latter:)
About pixies just send it to my moms or send it home with Sondra either way is good!
Jess, you are an inspiration to all. We should all be as in tune as you are. I'm so glad I read this post... it will help me to remember and/or pay attention to instances like yours. What a sacrifice you just made! And you didn't even know it... ;)haha
BTW I didn't know sold vinyl lettering! Do you have a web page or any info about your prices and such? I want some for our new house, and the addresses I've found so far have been extremely pricy (at least that's what I've been told). Anyway, hope you're having a good week! Thanks Jess!
I miss you.
