Listening

Right now I hear my kids and a friend playing on the tramp. Enjoying it. Happy noises. Life has been crazy the past few months with no signs of slowing down, so I need to learn to listen. To happy sounds, to concerns, to promptings. That means less rocking out in the car and less tv and more pondering, scriptures and prayer. Less reprimanding of my children. More reverent conversations with my husband. Less about me and more about sacrifice.

Just a goal, always a work in progress, but one worth trying to master.

I'm so glad to have read this.

A lot of times it takes hearing, reading or seeing someone else doing what you yourself is supposed to be doing. So thanks Jess. :) You're totally right!

Because what really matters in the end?

I just read in the Ensign this month something alike to this and I loved it.

"If we will be still, put God first, call on Him first, and wait on Him always, then we will come to discern His still, small voice reminding us how well He knows us and how much He loves us, and He will teach us how to love and serve our neighbors as ourselves."
'Don't be in a Hurry' by: John C. Thomas pg. 29

I loved it.
