OOOOH, Ouch!!

It all started last Wednesday....Carter was pushing Ellie's baby stroller across the tile and it got away from him and he crashed chin first into the tile. A little bit of blood, a little bit of tears and 2 staples later and he's all fixed up. But, today we had to go remove the staples.....we spent 1 1/2 hours waiting in the dr.'s office. I had plans for the day, plans got changed. I actually did enjoy Carter for that hour and a half. He is funny. He says very funny things. He says things I only wish he would say to me in private, like: "Mom, (pointing at my breast) are those empty?" Oh, yes! Apparently the nursing Ellie stage is still fresh in his mind. Darn. Back to his staples, the poor kid, the dr. didn't even numb him before he stapled his chin shut, unbelieveable (it gave me the heebeegeebees). Carter did so good. It was more upsetting to me than to him. He must have a really high tolerance for pain. He did cry a little when he put the staples in, but once we left the dr. office not once did he complain about it hurting, not once did I give him motrin or tylenol. It didn't hurt to have them removed, and the dr was a very pretty young thing, but Carter told me I was prettier than her!! I'll gladly spend an hour and a half in the dr.'s office to be alone with sweet, innocent, hilarious Carter.
PS ignor the boog.

Darn darn on the staples. I love to hear about Carter and his personality. You are much prettier than any office staple remover! Love you Jess.

It always amazes me the things kids remember...they can't remember to put their dishes in the sink or put the toys away, but they remember things that happened a year ago!!! It's kinda like men too...they don't remember how to bath the kids or put them to bed but they know of a basketball game that is scheduled a month away! :) Funny isn't it!?
