Jared and I were laying in bed having one of those really, really late night talks that we have quite often. I don't know what it is about us, but if we get in bed early we go to sleep and if we get in bed real late we talk for an hour. I love this time with my husband. I have him all to myself and we talk about anything and everything, and there's usually lots of giggles and laughter. I ask him really off the wall questions and requests like: sing to me. Sometimes these questions and requests are annoying to him, but usually he plays along anyway.
So here it is............
"Sing to me."
"NO!" (no hesitation)
"Come on, PLEASE?"
"NO! I'm not singing."
"Why not? Come on..."
Then there's a pause....I can tell he's thinking real hard. Then, to my utter surprise and delight, he gets out of bed and grabs my hand. He helps me up out of bed and pulls me in close. He takes my left hand in his right and wraps his other arm around my waist and slowly starts swaying back and forth. Then he sings ever so softly in my ear "L, is for the way you look at me. O, is for the hmm, hmm, hmm, hmm, hmm, hmm" (he forgot the words, so he had to hum them)
And then I woke up from day dreaming, and here's what really happened.......
"Sing to me."
"NO!"
"Come on. PLEASE?!!
"NO! I'm not singing"
"Why not? Come on..."
Then there's a pause......I can tell he's thinking real hard. Then in the most monotone, deep, loud, despairing voice he can muster he sings "ROW, ROW, ROW YOUR BOAT....." and I'm saying "EEEwww, stop it, that's such a turn off, please, please stop it!!!" as he continues to sing in this horrible manner, and I'm still trying to get him to stop. He finally stops and we have the best laugh ever!!!
Isn't my husband romantic?? What a BABE!!!

I was really falling for the first story and was jealous.
That's hilarious.
p.s. you guys look cute in your picture.
At first I was like...man Jerime would never do that...how romantic...can I borrow him?!?!? Just kidding, it's nice to know that he was a typical hubby singing a lame song...sorry Jared but yes it was lame! Funny but lame! I love your daydream, even though it didn't happen I'm still totally jealous! I think the next contest should be to ask our hubbies to DANCE! :) Come on it will be fun...I promise! :)
What a fun contest! You are so creative!!!! I can't believe row row didn't do it for you. I didn't get around to asking Rob, I will a better day. I will report back. For now just imagine a dirty sexy song from Rob. Whatever.
I love that that first story was a daydream. I totally fell for it too! Even thought it didn't seem very jared-ish. The second story is much more believeable. :-) Sorry I didn't participate. Brandon's been out of town. That's my excuse, but it's really a pretty good one i'd say.
Very funny! I would have been so surprised too!
oops I didn't see that....no one knows me anyway...I can vote how I like!!!! Rick could possibly win a dance contest!!! (I think he has been secretly practicing)
I think your blog is amazing and the most entertaining. You should receive an award for being such an crazy-amazing blogger. P.S. Ross was so excited to hear from Jared. He will probably call from my phone. (so don't screen the 208 #)
